AR Murugadoss' Sarkar courts controversy again, police visits director's residence

Thalapathi Vijay’s much awaited film Sarkar which is directed by AR Murugadoss finally after much hurdles released at the Box Office this Diwali. The film hit the screens during the festive occasion in around 3,400 screens worldwide. Despite falling into trouble for plagiarism, nothing affected the audience to watch the film in theatres as Sarkar has earned Rs 100 crore worldwide in just two days. Now according to reports, after the film’s release, Sarkar has fallen into trouble yet again. First, the makers of Sarkar were accused by Varun Rajendren for plagiarism, and now the ruling AIADMK wants certain ‘controversial scenes’ from the film to be edited.

AIADMK party leader and some ministers have raised the objection over some of the scenes in the film that revolve around the political situation prevailing in Tamil Nadu. Tamil Nadu Law Minister CV Shanmugam on a short notice asked the makers of the film to take an immediate action over the controversial scenes or else they would take legal action against the director AR Murugadoss. Deputy speaker of the Lok Sabha and Tamil Nadu Government’s Fisheries Minister D Jayakumar is among others who has expressed his disappointment against the film. Looks like the director is in trouble as police visited his residence yesterday.

AR Murugadoss tweeted, “Police had come to my house late tonight and banged the door several times.Since I was not there they left the premises. Right now I was told there is no police outside my house.”

Soon Vishal tweeted in support of the director. He wrote, “Police in Dir Murugadoss s home????? For Wat?? Hoping and really hoping that nothin unforeseen happens. Once again. Censor has cleared the film and the content is watched by public.den why all this hue and cry.”
