According to a leading daily, popular director Karthick Naren’s second and latest directorial venture ‘Naragasooran’ is likely to hit screens in February 2018. The film’s first schedule was filmed in Ooty and the makers are likely to begin the second schedule pretty soon. Confirming the same, a source said that Arvind Swami is likely to be a part of the second schedule.
“The second schedule will begin in a couple of weeks and Arvind Swami would be part of this schedule. Sundeep, Indrajith and Aathmika shot their portions during the first schedule and the film is on track to grace the screens sometime in February 2018,” added the source.
In case you did not know, ‘Naragasooran’ is touted to be an intense drama and has been co-produced by Gautham Menon. Besides Swami, it also features Sundeep Kishan and Shriya Saran in the lead. Interestingly, Telugu star Naga Chaitanya was the original choice for Sundeep Kishan’s role but opted out because of a packed schedule.
“He explained that he is busy with other commitments. We are still in good terms and would love to collaborate in the future,” Naren had said while explaining the reason for Chay’s exit.
On a related note, Naren had made his directorial debut in 2016 with the crime-thriller ‘Dhuruvangal Pathinaaru’ which received good reviews upon release. It featured Rahman in the lead and proved to be hit at the box office. It will be worth watching whether ‘Naragasooran’ too proves to be a success
