In a rather shocking development, associate director Murali Manohar –who is working with S Shankar on 2.0, recently took to Facebook and claimed that the makers of the Rajinikanth starrer have not paid him for his services. He went on to add that he has been waiting for months for his dues to be cleared.

“There is no point in waiting anymore. All media-people and friends know that since last December, I have taken up the full responsibility of the dubbing work of 2.0 (the film) and been working on it. During dubbing, Rajini sir personally spoke to me and that had become news as well. I am not the one to spread anything for the sake of news. I was not given the salary for the last month. I am still working this month too. Even after telling the truth, there has been no answer from anyone,” he added.

Well, this is an unexpected situation and it will be worth watching what happens next. In case you did not know, 2.0 is touted to be a sci-fi thriller and is a sequel to the 2010 release Enthiran. In it, Rajini will be reprising his role from the first part while Bollywood’s Akshay Kumar will be seen essaying a negative role. The film’s first look posters have already created a buzz amongst fans and it is arguably one of the biggest releases in the history of Tamil cinema. If all goes as planned, 2.0 will hit screens in January 2018.

He deserves to be paid for his work.
