Directed by Milind Rau, ‘Aval’ is said to be the scariest movies made in the recent past.
Aval earns good collection in Chennai with the box office numbers ringing at approximately INR 2 crores. The rest of the state of Tamil Nadu has contributed to approximately INR 56 lakhs making it a good number for the film. The collections are expected to go up over the weekend because the movie is getting a word of mouth from everyone.
Producer and actor Siddharth looked confident about the film before the release and knew that the technicians who worked on the film will be appreciated. “We must admit that the concept of horror in Indian cinema has changed a lot over the past couple of decades that it has been diluted heavily. We wanted to do a pure horror movie on par with ‘The Conjuring’, ‘Paranormal activity’ and ‘The evil dead’ and that idea was the birth of ‘Aval’. Aval’ is a hardcore horror flick which will scare and frighten the audience with a strong content and at every opportunity,” Siddharth had recently said in an interview.
