Baahubali 2 has achieved some massive milestones after its release and became the first Indian movie to earn INR 1000 crores. The film was a feast in terms of visuals. The CG effects and the VFX were supervised by experts from many studios across the globe, in more than 200 studios. The key people who made sure the quality of visuals is top notch are director Rajamouli, VFX Supervisors RC Kamalakannan and Pete Draper. Pete Draper was part of the prequel of Baahubali while Kamalakannan joined during the shoot of Baahubali 2.

Pete is now going to start working on another prestigious project which would have Super Star Rajinikanth as the lead. The film will be the 161st film of Rajinikanth and will be directed by Pa Ranjith, who earlier directed Kabali. This untitled film is being produced by Dhanush and will have some top technicians working on it.

Speaking to be a leading portal, Pete Draper said, “My genius team is flying down and we will be beginning work on our next film starring Rajinikanth. I recently got to witness the massive set which has been erected here in Chennai which resembles an area from Mumbai. I’m really excited about this project because this is my next after the recent blockbuster, Baahubali 2.”

The film is a gangster war film and will have Rajinikanth play a gangster again after Kabali. There were rumours earlier that this film will be on the life of Mumbai gangster Haji Mastan. Haji Mastan’s foster son, Sunder Shekhar, had sent a letter to Rajinikanth threatening him if something unusual was portrayed in the film. The makers later clarified that the film is not based on Haji Mastan and the matter was resolved.
