During a recent press meet, actor Kamal Haasan addressed the controversy surrounding ‘Bigg Boss’ and said that he was not worried about it all. He went on to add that, contrary to perception, the reality show is not affecting or harming Tamil culture in any way whatsoever.
“I am not worried about the case against Bigg Boss or me. I have belief in our law and our judiciary system and in our Government. I don’t have to answer to the people who have filed the case. I can’t accept the fact that the show is killing our culture and tradition. The show has been happening for the past eleven years in Bollywood. Bigg Boss is as necessary as, how cricket is necessary for the country. I am grateful to the people, who have belief and faith in me,” he added.
In case you did not know, yesterday, a Tamil Nadu-based activist group had filed a complaint against ‘Bigg Boss’ and claimed that its content was against Tamil culture. The group went on to demand that Haasan be put behind bars for hosting such a ‘vulgar’ show.
Well, based on Haasan’s comments it seems that he firmly believes in his show and is quite unperturbed by these developments.
On a related note, this is a busy time for Haasan. At present, he has two films in his kitty. They are ‘Vishwaroopam 2’ and ‘Sabaash Naidu’. While ‘Vishwaroopam 2’ is a spy-thriller, ‘Sabaash Naidu’ is touted be a spy-comedy and also features Shruti Haasan in the lead.
