Me Too Movement has taken the country by storm and this has only encouraged more and more women to come out to share their horrifying stories. Tamil lyricist Vairamuthu, Radha Ravi, Susi Ganesan, Kannada actor Arjun Sarja and John Vijay are some of the names accused of sexual misconduct. The latest to speak up is Bigg Boss Tamil fame Yashika Aannand. The actress who rose to fame with her role in Iruttu Arayil Muruttu Kuthu, shared about the incident at a recent event in Chennai. Yashika revealed that she was harassed by a prominent director, who is considered a father figure and a big star in the Tamil film industry.
“I do not wish to name him now because it was difficult for me to overcome the experience. I am now over it,” she said at an event in Chennai. The actress further shared about the incident when she went for the audition. “He had asked me to wait outside while he spoke to my mother. He told her that if I wanted to do this role, I had to sleep with him. That’s when I wondered why people take advantage of their positions.” Yashika Aannand revealed that she did try to file a police complaint but even the officials at the police station behaved badly with her.
Yashika Aannand also shared an incident when a police officer in her area made her feel unsafe and soon she filed a complaint after which he was fired.
