The controversial reality show, Bigg Boss Tamil 2 with star host Kamal Haasan kickstarted recently. Well, controversies and Bigg Boss go hand in hand. The reality show is no new to controversy and the show is in the news yet again for the wrong reasons. According to reports, The group, Hindu Makkal Katchi alleged that the reality show denigrates Tamil culture and have demanded a ban on the show. A fringe group has filed a complaint against Bigg Boss Tamil Season 2 and has alleged the participants in the show are seen in an obscene fashion and sporting revealing outfits. The group also states that Kamal Haasan being a politician should not host the show.
“Kamal says that he is working for the betterment of Tamils. What is being shown in Bigg Boss is against Tamil culture,” reads the complaint.
Arjun Sampath shared a video on Facebook that sees Bigg Boss contestants in revealing clothes and this has not gone well among the community. He writes, “How can an individual watch this show with his family and kids? The content of the show is inappropriate for viewing. I sincerely request elders and kids to ensure the defeat of this show”.
The group has threatened to protest against the show. “We do not want Kamal Haasan to host this show. He is not just an actor but a politician as well. It does not augur well for an actor of his stature to host a show that has a negative effect on the society”, Arjun Sampath, state president of Hindu Makkal Katchi told India Today.
Well, this is not for the first time Hindu Makkal Katchi has targeted Bigg Boss. Last year as well, the fringe group protested against to ban the show.
