The much-talked-about investigative thriller with a huge cast- Nayanthara, Vijay Sethupathi, Atharvaa and Raashi Khanna starrer Imaikkaa Nodigal released this week at the Box Office. It is the much- anticipated release of the weekend. Touted to be a revenge story, movie buffs were quite excited to know what’s in the store for them. The film has opened to a mixed response but despite that, it has witnessed a thunderous opening at the Box Office in the first two days. On the day of the release, the film faced a lot of problems as shows were being cancelled everywhere in Tamil Nadu. Nevertheless, the problem was solved and the audience got the opportunity to enjoy night shows.
Interestingly, despite going through all the hurdles, Imaikka Nodigal has witnessed an amazing start at the Box Office. Imaikkaa Nodigal collected Rs 11 Lakh on Thursday (August 30) despite managing to get only night shows. It showed impressive growth on Friday (August 31, 2018) and raked in Rs 43 Lakh. Its 2-day gross currently stands at Rs 54 Lakh and it remains to see how it performs on Sunday.

The film that marks Tamil debut of Bollywood filmmaker Anurag Kashyap is written and directed by Ajay Gnanamuthu. The film has music by Hip-hop Tamizha while the camera is cranked by ace lensman RD Rajasekhar. Imaikkaa Nodigal sees Anurag Kashyap in a role of an antagonist named Rudra who is a psychotic serial killer. The trailer of the film had received a positive response with each character playing a powerful role. The trailer promised to give another best serial killer film to the cinema. Well, the audience has watched the film and have put out their verdict. The film is getting a mixed response.

You mean, the film is a box office hit with the viewers and every reviewer has given a positive or near positive review for the movie…and yet according to the person that wrote this article it is a MIXED response?!
