South star Kamal Haasan, who has geared up for the promotions of his upcoming film Vishwaroopam 2, has hit headlines for all the wrong reasons. The actor has found himself amid a controversy yet again. According to media reports, a complaint has been filed against him over a recent episode of the television show he hosts, Bigg Boss Tamil 2. The complaint has been filed against the actor and the reality show for allegedly defaming the late J Jayalalithaa as a ‘dictator’. The complaint has been filed with the Chennai Police commissioner by a lawyer, Louisal Ramesh.
The said incident happened during a recent episode of Bigg Boss Tamil 2. The episode featured dictatorship task in which contestant Aishwarya Dutta was decreed the dictator of the house. She was given all the power to make the rules of the house for the task. During the task, Dutta lost her cool over one of the contestants for not following her orders. She threw garbage on a housemate, leaving viewers miffed. She was slammed by the viewers on the social media. The viewers even criticized the makers of Bigg Boss Tamil 2 for broadcasting such act from the house.
Referring to the whole incident in the house, actor-host Kamal Haasan reportedly cautioned Dutta from being dictatorial. He allegedly also said, “You know what happened to the dictators that ruled the state”, which the complaint against him claims was a reference to J Jayalalithaa.
Meanwhile, Haasan has launched his own political party Makkal Needhi Maiam (meaning People’s Centre for Justice). After a couple of films, reportedly, the actor is all set to bid goodbye to films and will focus on into politics. Currently, he is busy with the promotions of Vishwaroopam 2. The film also stars Andrea Jeremiah, Pooja Kumar, and Shekhar Kapoor, the film has music by Ghibran. The first trailer of the film was released recently and it received an immense response.
Vishwaroopam 2 is releasing in Hindi, Tamil and Telugu on August 10.
