Well, finally, a biopic on late Tamil Nadu chief minister Jayalalitha is in making and is all set to release in 2019.

Confirmed! Biopic on Jayalalitha to release in 2019

Former politician and actress J Jayalalithaa will always be remembered for her strong appearances and charisma. Ever since Jayalalithaa’s demise, there has been a lot of speculations on who can play her on the big screen, if a biopic is being made on her. Well, finally, a biopic on late Tamil Nadu chief minister Jayalalitha is in making and is all set to release in 2019. Trade analyst Taran Adarsh confirmed the news on the social media. The film will be produced by Vibri Media and the first look will be released on Jayalalitha’s birth anniversary i.e on 24 Feb 2019.

Tamil filmmaker Vijay is overseeing the pre-production work of the film, based on the vision shared by producers Vishnu Vardhan Induri and Brinda Prasad. The film will star prominent names from Bollywood and South Indian industry. Check out the tweets below:-

Last year, after Jayalalitha had passed away, an interview of her to Simi Garewal in 1999, had gone viral. During the interview, Jayalalithaa had said that Aishwarya Rai Bachchan would be suitable to play her on screen.

Tamil Nadu Chief Minister and AIADMK’s undisputed leader Jayaram Jayalalitha passed away in Chennai’s Apollo Hospital on December 5, 2016. She was 68.

Meanwhile, earlier reports were doing rounds that actress Keerthy Suresh, who impressed everyone with her role as legendary actress Savitri in her recently released film ‘Nadigayar Thilagam’ (Mahanati in Telugu), will play the role of Jayalalitha in the biopic. The rumours of her playing the lead in Jayalalithaa biopic were doing rounds even before Nadigayar Thilagam released. Putting an end to all the rumours, the actress had then made it clear that she hasn’t signed any biopic yet.

    Anushka shetty will best suit this role, trust me. She has the personality, acting abilities, and the charisma . pls dont get carried away in including bollywood actors for the sake of it. She is a well known face in south, so pls have actors that the south audience could connect
