Actor Ajith might star in the Tamil remake of Hindi flick Pink, which starred Amitabh Bachchan and Taapsee in the lead roles. The actor has geared up for his next tentatively titled as Thala 59. The film is reportedly said to be a remake of the Bollywood flick Pink and is speculated that Ajith will be playing the role of Big B in the remake version. However, an official confirmation regarding the same is awaited. Directed by Aniruddha Roy Chowdhury, Pink Tamil remake will be directed by Vinoth and Boney Kapoor will be funding this venture. More details on the same are awaited.

According to a Times of India report, Pink’s creative producer, Shoojit Sircar, has confirmed that the film is being remade in Tamil. “Yes, ‘Pink’ is being remade in Tamil. I don’t think I will direct it, but the team has said that they will show the film to me once it’s ready. As much as I love what Aniruddha did with Pink, I respect the fact that the makers in Tamil want to have their own interpretation of the story,” he was quoted saying.

Amitabh Bachchan and Taapsee Pannu starrer Pink is the story of three men and women who meet at a rock concert in the outskirts of Delhi. After turning down the men’s advances, the women are accused of attempted murder. The film was critically acclaimed and Taapsee received a lot of praises for her fiery act in the film.

Meanwhile, Thala Ajith recently wrapped up the shooting of his upcoming film Viswasam. Ajith and Siruthai Siva are collaborating for their much-talked about film Viswasam. The film marks their fourth collaboration. Said to be another action-entertainer, Viswasam will have Nayanthara playing the female lead role and will be her fourth collaboration too with Ajith.
