During a recently held event, Dhanush opened up about the fate of his highly ambitious ‘Vada Chennai’ and said that 90 percent of the film has already been shot. He went on to add that he will complete the final schedule after finishing the shoot of his Hollywood film ‘Extraordinary Journey of The Fakir’

“The film should’ve been completed by now, but, as Visaranai was selected for the Oscars and Vetri was busy with that, the days kept on postponing and hence there was a slight delay with Vada Chennai. The film has come out so well and as you all know, it is my dream project and I have talked about the film at so many places. There are some ten to fifteen days of shoot leftover, with a new different getup. Once I finish my Hollywood film, I will catch up with Vada Chennai,” he added.

In case you did not know, ‘Vada Chennai’ is touted to be a gangster-thriller and will be produced in three parts. Besides Dhanush, it features Aishwarya Rajesh and Andrea Jeremiah in the lead.

On a related note, this is a busy time for Dhanush, He will soon be seen in the much-hyped ‘VIP 2’. Touted to be an action-comedy and directed by Soundarya Rajinikanth, it is a sequel to the 2014 release ‘VIP’. Besides Dhanush, it features Kajol and Amala Paul in the lead. This is Kajol’s first Tamil film in two decades. If all goes as planned, ‘VIP 2’ will hit screens next month.
