According to a leading daily, Tamil superstar Dhanush recently wrapped up the shoot of his eagerly-awaited ‘Vada Chennai’ and will now move on to his other projects. The star had joined the final schedule last month much to the delight of his fans. ‘Vada Chennai’ is a crime-drama and marks D’s third collaboration with Vetrimaaran. The two have previously collaborated for ‘Polladhavan’ and ‘Aadukulam ‘. Both films received a positive response and earned rave reviews along the way. As such, fans are bound to have high expectations from ‘Vada Chennai’.
Interestingly, besides Dhanush, the film also features the fast-rising Aishwarya Rajesh in the lead. Sometime ago, she had said that shooting for this one was a unique experience for her.
“I initially thought working with Dhanush would be tough. I had never interacted with him much when he produced Kaaka Muttai. But after we started shooting for Vada Chennai, it was very comfortable. I had a lot of freedom to perform in my style,” she had added.
On a related note, Dhanush was last seen in the action-comedy ‘VIP 2’ which received a decent response upon release. A sequel to the 2014 release ‘VIP’, it was directed by Soundarya Rajinikanth and also featured Kajol in the lead. At present, besides ‘Vada Chennai’, he also has ‘Maari 2’ and ‘The Extraordinary Journey of the Fakir in his kitty. ‘Maari 2’ is a sequel to ‘Maari’. On the other hand, ‘The Extraordinary Journey of The Fakir’ marks his Hollywood debut.
