Interestingly, Ajith’s Vivegam is rumoured to be getting released on August 10th, 2017 which might be one of the reasons for the change of dates of release for Dhanush’s VIP 2. Dhanush is currently working on his Hollywood film ‘The Extraordinary Journey Of The Fakir’ which is currently being shot in Paris.
Recently Dhanush had also confirmed that VIP 3 and VIP 4 will happen too during a recent interaction on social media. “It took me three years to write the sequel to VIP, and the process was challenging. It was while shooting for Kodi; I struck upon an idea to make VIP 2. The franchise will continue. There will be part 3 and 4,” said Dhanush.
Vellai Illa Pattadhari 2 is being directed by Soundarya Rajinikanth while the story and screenplay is written by Dhanush himself. The music of VIP 2 is by Sean Roldan replacing Anirudh Ravichander who rendered music for the first part of VIP. VIP 2 is being produced by Dhanush under his own banner Wunderbar Films.
