Superstar Rajinikanth is currently meeting his fans in Chennai at the Raghavendra Mandapam much to the joy of his fans. From getting pictures clicked with his fans to talking about his political aspirations, Rajinikanth has been doing it all. Speaking at the meeting on the first day, Rajinikanth had said that he will make an important announcement on December 31st, 2017 about his political career. Fans of the superstar are now eagerly waiting for the day to learn about the announcement. Rajinikanth, speaking yesterday, said that one should never fall on the feet of the powerful, wealthy and famous people. “One need not fall at the feet of people in power, name, fame, or those who have huge wealth. You should fall only at the feet of God, parents and elderly people,” Rajinikanth said on the third day of his fans meeting.

Fans of the superstar thronged the venue from places across Tamil Nadu including places like Madurai and Virudachalam. “The city is known for its valour. In 1976, when I visited Madurai Meenakshi Temple, the priest asked for my nakshathram to offer prayers to the deity. I did not know my birthdate, nakshathram or gothram and no one told me also.  Actress Sachu was there and she told the priest that my nakshathram was that of Perumal’s and asked to offer prayers in the name of the deity itself,” Rajinikanth had said.

‘Thalaivar’ had visitors from the neighbouring Karnataka state who were elated to meet the superstar. “I was a fan of the actor like all of you when I was 17 or 18. He was a combination of Sivaji Ganesan sir and MGR sir. I can understand your emotions and feelings completely,” Rajinikanth said after meeting them. Rajinikanth will continue to meet his fans till December 31st, 2017 and will make an important announcement on the last day of the meeting.

In May, while addressing a large gathering of his fans, Rajinikanth said he will choose the path of politics if “God willing”. “God decides what we have to do in life at every phase. Right now, he wants me to be an actor and I’m fulfilling my responsibility. If God willing, I will enter politics tomorrow. “If I enter, I will be very truthful and will not entertain people who are in this to make money. I won’t work with such people,” he had said.

The event was organised after more than two decades for the fans, who could meet their demi-god in person and speak with him. Millions of Rajinikanth’s fans thronged the venue to get a chance to meet their favourite star. The organisers had everything in place and made sure there was no chaos. Anyone who wanted to meet the Super Star had to procure an ID card and only then was allowed to enter the venue.

Rajinikanth met his fans over five days keeping in mind the number of people anticipated to meet him. According to the organisers, the event was a successful one and everyone including Super Star Rajinikanth were happy with the arrangements. Rajinikanth gave a speech on day one and made his future plans very clear. Rajinikanth said that he is willing to join politics if god is willing. He also mentioned that he regrets his decision to support a political party few years ago, which changed the state of politics in the state of Tamil Nadu.

The actor spoke at length during the meet and spoke about a lot of things. From politics to his career, Rajini spoke about few unknown things. “God decides what we have to do in life. Right now, he wants me to be an actor and I’m fulfilling my responsibility. If God willing, I will enter politics tomorrow. If I enter, I will be very truthful and will not entertain people who are in this to make money. I won’t work with such people,” said Super Star Rajinikanth.

The 66-year-old star said that he considered his brief stint in politics years ago as a political accident. Speaking about it Rajinikanth said, “I did a mistake by supporting a political alliance 21 years ago. It was a political accident. Since then, politicians have misused my name on several occasions. But I have to clarify, I’m not joining any party.”

On the work front, Rajinikanth will be seen in two big budget flicks in 2018 – Shankar’s 2.0 and Pa Ranjith’s Kaala. 2.0 is slated to be released in April 2018 and Kaala is slated to be released in August 2018.
