Dulquer Salmaan is all set to make his Bollywood debut alongside Irrfan Khan in the film titled Karwaan. The movie is directed by writer-turned-director Akash Khurana.
Recently, the handsome actor was in Mumbai to attend a film festival. When Dulquer was asked about Karwaan, he stated, “It should be out in April or May next year. It is called Karwaan. It has me, Mithila Palkar, Irrfan Khan and Amala Akkineni. It is a pretty interesting cast. It is a road trip film and is funny and light-hearted.”
When Dulquer was asked about how he sees Bollywood, the actor replied, “I don’t see myself coming to compete with anybody. There is enormous talent here. I am here only to do good work. I do not want to lose my focus in the Malayalam film industry. That is where I primarily work. I will work in Tamil and Hindi only based on the work I get offered.”
He will also be seen playing the role of legendary actor Gemini Ganesan in the biopic on actress Savithri. When asked about what research did he go through to get into the character, Dulquer said, “I spoke to his family and went with what the director told me. I am trying to capture what he was more off screen than on screen. I am not going to imitate him or his performances. I am going to get the essence of the man off screen.”
