After the success of Judwaa 2, it’s raining movie offers for Taapsee Pannu. A leading daily reported that Taapsee Pannu will be a part of Anurag Kashyap’s next film, which also co-stars Vicky Kaushal in the lead. Titled Manmarziyan, the film is said to be a love triangle and the shoot of the film will commence in January 2018, in Himachal Pradesh. In latest developments, the makers of the film have found its third lead who will complete this triangular love story. The new addition to this film is Mollywood star, Dulquer Salmaan. According to sources, the makers of the film have been scouting for an actor who can fit the bill of the character perfectly, and Dulquer seemed to be just the right match. It has to be noted that this won’t be Dulquer’s official entry into Bollywood. The charming actor will make his Hindi debut with Karwaan, which stars Irrfan Khan and Mithila Palkar. Karwaan is said to be a road film that begins in Ooty. Apart from this Dulquer is also working on Mahanati in Telugu, Kannum Kannum Kollai Adithal in Tamil and Oru Bhayankara Kamukan in Malayalam.

In 2015, Anand L. Rai first announced Manmarziyan with Ayushmann Khurrana and Bhumi Pednekar, and Sameer Sharma as the director. However, the love story was shelved after creative differences between the director and the producer. The producer then decided to revive it with director Ashwiny Iyer Tiwari and finally finalizing Anurag Kashyap to direct the film. To a leading daily, Anand said “Just because he’s made a Gangs of Wasseypur doesn’t mean Anurag doesn’t understand love. I gave him a narration, he loved the script but was busy with Mukkabaaz. I told him we would do both together. He could make my film after finishing his. This way I’d get satisfaction and he, lots of affection,”
