Shriya Saran has now been roped in for Tamil film Naragasooran which also stars Arvind Swami. The film is being directed by Karthick Naren who delivered a hit with his first movie, Dhuruvangal 16. The young filmmaker is making news for his offbeat approach and realistic story telling.
Reports were earlier suggesting that Akkineni Naga Chaitanya will make his Tamil debut with Naragasooran but there was no official confirmation. But Chaitanya opted out of the movie because of prior commitments and hence this could not materialise.
“Naragasooran has an intense subject and Shriya will be portraying a pivotal character. In addition to them, actor Prithviraj’s elder brother, Indrajith Sukumaran, is also part of the movie. The shoot of this venture will begin in early August,” reveals a source close to the young director.
Karthick posted a message on his social networking page which read, “The film is the second instalment of the thriller trilogy, which I would like to make and it belongs to the same universe of my debut project Dhuruvangal Pathinaaru.”
