Fahadh Faasil opts out of Mani Ratnam’s multi-starrer due to date issues?

Mani Ratnam will next be making a multi-starrer film which which will have a huge star cast that includes names like Jyothika, Simbu, Fahadh Faasil and Arvind Swami. The film is yet to be titled and is slated to go on floors end of February or early March. The film was scheduled to begin in January this year but owing to few pre-production delay, the shooting hasn’t begun yet. And according to latest reports, actor Fahadh Faasil has pulled himself out of the movie due to date issues and owing to the delay in the start of the shooting. Reports are doing rounds that Fahadh Faasil had given few dates for this Mani Ratnam and the delay in the start has resulted in clash with his other commitments. And hence, the Malayalam actor has opted out of the movie, suggest reports. It is also being said that Mani Ratnam is in talks with few other actors as a replacement for Fahadh since he now won’t be available for the role he had penned down. If these reports are to be believed, then this may one of the biggest disappointments in Tamil cinema since the expectations were sky high on this film because of the stellar cast. The makers have not yet confirmed this development officially and an announcement is expected soon, say reports.

While this is yet to be known officially, it is confirmed, on the other hand, that ‘Kaatru Veliyidai‘ actress Aditi Rao Hydari has been signed for this film making it her second film with the seasoned filmmaker. The yet to be titled film also stars Jyothika and Aishwarya Rajesh, and is said to be an action entertainer. Speaking about it, Aditi Rao Hydari had said, “Another film with Mani sir is a blessing. While shooting for Kaatru Veliyidai, I was living my childhood dream of working with my favourite director. It was surreal and thrilling at the same time. It had been such an enriching experience that I got hooked to his style and discipline of filmmaking. I just can’t wait for the schedule of the film to kick off.
