Announcing this, a teaser for the song – Aalaporan Tamizhan – was released by the makers last night which has created a huge buzz around the film.

Touted to be a folk number, Aalaporan Tamizhan seems to be the introduction song of Vijay in MERSAL and is sung by Kailash Kher. The teaser also gave a glimpse of Vijay’s look in the song from the film much to the joy of the fans of the star.

Few weeks ago, the makers of MERSAL, Sri Thenandal Films, released the first look poster and title of the film which sent the fans of Vijay into a frenzy and social media was abuzz with messages about the film. The first look of Vijay in MERSAL looks quite impressive with Vijay dusting his hands and making the poster look more heroic.

MERSAL is considered to be the most interesting film in Vijay’s career since the story of the film is written by Baahubali writer K. Vijayendra Prasad. Having given two blockbuster hits in Indian cinema – Bajrangi Bhaijaan and Baahubali  – Vijayendra Prasad is now the most sought after writer in Indian cinema.

Meaning astonished or stunned in English, MERSAL is quite a unique title for a Vijay’s film and this has certainly raised the expectations of Vijay’s fans all the more.
