Filmmaker Gautham Vasudev Menon and actor Suriya Sivakumar have delivered few hit films, as a combo, which stand as a milestone in their respective careers. Kaakha Kaakha and Vaaranam Aayiram are two films that are considered as cult classics in Tamil cinema. And the duo is now prepping up to join hands again much to the joy of Tamil cinema fans. In a recent interview, Gautham Menon confirmed that he has been in talks with Suriya about a subject and they may collaborate for a film in 2019. Gautham Menon also added that Suriya is quite excited about the subject he pitched and it is still in the development stage. Fans of Suriya and Gautham Menon were elated groups after news broke out about collaboration and would be eagerly waiting for an official confirmation.
Suriya is currently shooting for his upcoming film NGK which is being directed by Selvaraghavan. NGK is said to be a rebellious intense drama and also stars Rakul Preet and Sai Pallavi as the leading ladies. Suriya, after NGK, will begin work on KV Anand’s film which also stars Malayalam top star Mohanlal in a crucial role. The yet untitled film also stars Telugu actor Allu Sirish in a pivotal role.
On the other hand, Gautham Menon has two projects impending releases – Vikram starrer Dhruva Natchthiram and Dhanush’s Ennai Nokki Paayum Thota. Gautham Menon recently released the teaser of Dhruva Natchthiram which left fans and general audiences awestruck with its visuals and impressive narrative. It is being reported that Dhruva Natchathiram is a trilogy and the first part will be released sometime by the end of this year.
Dhanush starrer Ennai Nokki Paayu Thota is currently in the production stage and recently wrapped up a schedule after being on hold for a very long time. However, there is no news of when the film would be released.
