Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal arrived in Chennai earlier today and met veteran actor Kamal Haasan. The AAP leader had a fairly long conversation with the ‘Sadma’ star and discussed some important issues with him. After the meeting, Haasan told the media that he considers Kejriwal to be a ‘relative’ and is willing to help him in his battle against corruption. He went on to add that he was honoured by Kejriwal’s decision to call on him.
“People who are against corruption are relatives for me, and hence, Arvind Kejriwal is also one such relative. We are all honoured to have him here. The purpose of the meeting is singular, i.e, fighting against corruption. Kejriwal is known for fighting against corruption tirelessly, and I also have a similar reputation. No wonder we decided to meet up and discuss it. It was a learning curve for me,” he added.
Interestingly, this comes just days after Haasan had confirmed that would soon launch a political party and enter politics.
“Yes I am thinking on those lines — not out of choice, but due to compulsion! Which existing political party can provide me with a platform or an ideology that will match my reformatory goals in politics?” he had said.
On a related note, Haasan is currently busy hosting the popular show ‘Bigg Boss Tamil’ which has become rage amongst fans. He also has two films in his kitty. They are ‘Saabash Naidu’ and ‘Vishwaroopam 2’. While ‘Vishwaroopam 2’ is a spy-thriller, ‘Sabaash Naidu’ is a spy-comedy.
