Lady superstar Nayanthara usually refrains from promoting her films as she feels that their box office collections should depend on their quality alone. However, she has broken this rule for her next release ‘Aramm’. During a recent chat with a leading daily, director Gopi Nainar said that Nayan agreed to promote the film has it has a strong message for society and hence needs to reach a wider audience.
“Audiences are there to watch entertaining films. But a movie like Aramm, which has a social messaged, should reach a wider audience. Perhaps that’s the intention behind her promoting the film,” he added.
The director went on to add that ‘Aramm’ highlights how a person uses her position to fix a difficult situation. He also revealed that the film is set in contemporary Tamil Nadu.
“The film will explore the contemporary situation in Tamil Nadu. An incident will take place, which people could neither resist nor stop. How Madhivadhani, as a socially conscious person in a responsible post tries to help and ease out the situation, forms the crux,” added the director.
Well, we wish Gopi Nainar the very best and hope that ‘Aramm’ fares well at the box office. If all goes as planned, the film will hit screens on November 10.
On a related note, this is a busy time for Nayan. Besides ‘Aramm’, she also has ‘Jai Simha’, ‘Velaikkaran’ and ‘Sye Raa Narasimha Reddy’ in her kitty.
So, do you think Nayanthara will be able to do justice to ‘Aramm’? Comments, please!
