On the second death anniversary of the former Tamil Nadu Chief Minister and movie star J Jayalalithaa, the first poster of A. Priyadhaarshini’s The Iron Lady is out. The biopic will see Nithya Menen playing the role of Jayalalithaa. Director A. Priyadhaarshini unveiled the first look of the film today and captioned it as, “God often takes the form of humans with kindness.” The shooting for the film will go on the floors on February 24, 2019.
Earlier reports were doing rounds that actress Keerthy Suresh, who impressed everyone with her role as legendary actress Savitri in her recently released film ‘Nadigayar Thilagam’ (Mahanati in Telugu), will play the role of Jayalalitha in the biopic. With the first look of the film, it is confirmed that Nithya Menen will step into the shoes of late former CM and surely it is going to be a huge responsibility for the makers of the film to showcase a larger than life person on the big screen.
