Iruttu Arayil Murattu Kuththu lands in a fresh controversy

The adult horror comedy, ‘Iruttu Arayil Murattu Kuththu’ starring Gautham Karthik in the lead, has fallen into trouble. According to reports, the film is facing legal troubles following a complaint filed by members of the LGBTQI community in Tamil Nadu. The members of the community have raised their voice over some offensive scenes in the film. Reportedly, they have called for a ban on the film for its offensive treatment against women and a homosexual character.

Transgender activist Apsara Reddy has also demanded a public apology from Gautham Karthik. Reports also suggest that a meeting will be conducted soon with the Tamil Film Producers’ Council President Vishal Krishna over the matter.

Ever since its release on Friday, the film is facing troubles. Veteran filmmaker Bharathiraja, producer J Sathish Kumar and director Vijay Milton had also expressed their objection over the film. However, there has been no response from the makers over the matter. It remains to see how the makers react to this new controversy.

Talking about the film, the story is based on some situations that happen in Thailand. The adult comedy will showcase how a ghost attacks boys to fulfil its desire and it forms the crux of the story.

The adult horror comedy produced by Gnanavel Raja also stars Karunakaran, Bala Saravanan and Rajendra in important roles. The film has been directed by Santhosh P Jeyakumar and is Produced by KE Gnanavel Raja of Studio Green. GK Prasanna is the editor while Balamurali Bala is in charge of the music.

Meanwhile, Gautham Karthik is also working with his father Karthik Muthuraman for the first time in the upcoming action comedy film Mr Chandramouli. Directed by Thiru, it stars Regina Cassandra, Varalaxmi Sarathkumar and Mahendran in supporting roles.
