Isha Koppikar makes a comeback to Tamil cinema after 17 years

Isha Koppikar, as well all know is more of South actress before she started her acting career in Bollywood. Before making her way to Bollywood and doing a bey of Hindi films, Isha rose to popularity with her acting in South Cinema. The actress made her debut in Tamil with Prashanth’s Kadhal Kavithai. The film had received a mixed response but nevertheless, the actress earned huge fan following. She went to do quite a few Tamil films ahead, which only gained her popularity.

Well, Isha Koppikar is now making a comeback after a long time. Yes, the actress is all set to return to Tamil films. According to media reports, Isha is returning after 17 years to act in Sivakarthikeyan’s upcoming film. The film will be directed by Ravikumar, who is known for his sci-fi film Netru Indru Naalai.

Isha is making a comeback to Kollywood with filmmaker R Ravikumar’s next project. The shooting of the film began yesterday. A bilingual film, it has Sivakarthikeyan playing the male lead and is produced by 24 AM Studios. The yet-untitled film also stars Rakul Preet Singh and Bhanupriya. Oscar-winning composer AR Rahman is will compose the music of the film.

Well, though Isha has been working in Bollywood films but it been long that she did any Tamil film. She was last seen in Vijayakanth’s Narasimha, which also bombed at the box office.

Isha Koppikar made a comeback in Telugu cinema couple of years ago with Keshava which starred Nikhil Siddhartha and Ritu Varma in the lead roles.

Meanwhile, Sivakarthikeyan is currently working for director Ponram’s Seema Raja. He has also signed on director Rajesh’s next, produced by Studio Green. Actress Nayanthara plays the female lead in this film.

Isha is popularly known for her performances in the films Girlfriend (2004), D (2006), Darling (2007) and Shabri (2011).
