Actress Ishara Nair, who was last seen in Sadhuranga Vettai opposite Natty in the role of Banu, is back in the reckoning but with a fresh look. The actress has gone through a makeover and prepared herself for the role in her upcoming film which is being directed by debutant Ranjith Manikandan. The film will star MO actor Suresh Ravi in the lead role and will be bankrolled by Malcolm.
Speaking about her role to a leading portal, Ishara said, “I wanted my character to be totally contrasting from my previous film, and hence I have picked up this unique script ADHI MAEDHAVIGAL. I play as SUJI in this film and the movie is all about the arrears of two friends and their struggles to overcome the arrears.” The actress also said that she was asked to lose some weight by the director when she was auditioned and she took that up as a challenge.
“During the audition Director, Ranjith Manikandan asked me to reduce my weight in just 10 days. I obviously took this as a challenge and when I visited him back after 10 days for a final audition, they were pleasantly surprised and impressed. There is one certain factor which keeps our Adhi Maedhavigal totally unique from other films. There is no angle of love. Adhi Maedhavigal is all about friendship and I am super excited about its release,” the actress added.
The makers are looking to release the film in summer, sometime during the month of May
