Director Kasthuri Raja, the father of Selvaraghavan and Dhanush, is returning to direction after more than a decade. He is making a comeback and has got in place an ensemble star cast for his next film. Raja is all set to return to direction with Paandi Muni and none other than Bollywood actor Jackie Shroff has been locked. The actor, who has delivered some power-packed performances in Kollywood films, will be playing one of the leads in Paandi Muni. While the shooting of the film is all set to roll in another 10 days, details about Jackie’s character has been revealed.
According to a media report, Jackie Shroff will be essaying a character of aghori. The film will revolve around Jackie Shroff’s character and is set against the backdrop of a jameen family.
Times Of India quoted a source saying, “This is a role that Jackie Shroff has probably never done before in his career — that of an aghori. The film is set against the backdrop of a jameen family, and revolves around Jackie and Meghali’s characters; it’s a war between the God and the ghost. The actor had loved the narration, and was quite thrilled about his character and the challenges it involves. He will be in Chennai today for the official announcement of the project.”
The shooting of the film will be shot in various locations. The quote further reads, “The film will be shot in Kurangani, Javadhu Hills (near Thiruvannamalai), Malaysia and Thailand, and will go on floors in another 10 days.”
