During a recent interaction with a leading daily, actor Jayam Ravi opened up about his highly ambitious ‘Sangamithra’ and said that it was conceived before SS Rajamouli’s magnum opus ‘Baahubali’.

“I am actually excited to be part of such a magnum opus venture. The movie has been conceived by Sundar anna much before Baahubali but things have fallen in place only now,” he added.

The star went on to add that he will be dedicating nearly two years to the project. During this time, he intends to work on his physique and bulk up. Moreover, he stressed that he will be undergoing some special training in order to prepare for his role in ‘Sangamithra’.

“I will have to bulk my body , almost double. Since the movie is kind of a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity, I don’t mind allocating almost one year and a half for the same. Also, it will be released in two parts. From the sets to the creative elements, most of the props are almost ready. I have to get trained in various aspects for the film, which will be taking place in Hyderabad,” he added.

Well, we truly admire Jayam Ravi’s dedication and hope that his efforts pay off. All the best!

In case you did not know, the first look posters of ‘Sangamithra’ were unveiled at Cannes, sometime back, amidst much fanfare. Initially, Shruti Haasan was a part of the film. However, she backed out later as she apparently did not receive a bound script. The makers have not announced the name of her replacement yet.
