During a recent chat with a leading daily, noted concept artist Vishwanath Sundaram opened up about working on the highly ambitious Sangamithra and said that the film features several war sequences in water. He went on to add that designing these sequences was a big challenge as something like this has never been done before.

“Sanghamithra has a number of war sequences in water and the poster itself gives that away. We haven’t quite explored that area in India. It throws a different challenge altogether. To design the water particles and bring the dynamics was a real challenge. Sangamithra is a fantasy film and the period in which it is set is much after Baahubali. I was free to give ideas for the film,” he added.

Well, this is quite a revelation and is bound to add to the buzz surrounding ‘Sangamithra’. In case you did not know, ‘Sangamithra’ is being directed by Sundar C and features Jayam Ravi in the lead. The film’s poster was unveiled at Cannes and it created a buzz amongst fans, Initially, Shruti Haasan was supposed to play the female lead. However, she opted out and claimed that she was not given a bound script.

“I like to have a firm and clear idea of a script and a character – that’s how I work. And if that doesn’t happen, then I move on to the next things,” she had said about her decision.

Interestingly, a few weeks ago, the makers found a replacement in Disha Patani. So, are you excited about ‘Sangamithra’? Comments, please!
