Jayam Ravi in Tik Tik Tik

If you are a fan of the much-loved Jayam Ravi then we have some awesome news in store for you. In an exciting development, his eagerly-awaited ‘Tik Tik Tik’ has completed censor formalities and been cleared with a U certificate. As such, it will be able to keep its date with the audience and hit screens on January 26. Interestingly, it is hitting screens on the same day as Anushka Shetty starrer ‘Bhaagamathie’ and the Bollywood biggies ‘Padmaavat’ and ‘Padman’. It will be worth watching how this clash affects its box office performance.

In case you did not know, ‘Tik Tik Tik’, is a space –thriller and has been directed by Shakti Rajan. Besides Jayam Ravi, it also features Nivetha Pethuraj in the lead role. Recently, Nivetha had said that it was her love for the science fiction genre that encouraged her to take up the film.

“I love science fictions and I watch them a lot. When we receive something we really love, we invest ourself 100 per cent no? The next thing is it’s not a typical commercial movie. The shooting experience was incredibly challenging. With the harness on our body for most of the times, it will be difficult to move, breathe or do anything. Almost every member of the crew got injured while shooting but that didn’t stop us from giving our best,” she had added.

As it so happens, the director did a lot of research while working on ‘Tik Tik Tik’ and even met some space scientists while working on the film.

“Initially, we spoke to a retired scientist from ISRO (Indian Space Research Organisation) and got the basic facts right about everything related to space — the space shuttle set up, the kind of work that goes on ground and in space during a mission and the important decisions that are taken,” he had told a leading news agency.
