Actor Jayam Ravi’s prestigious film ‘Tik Tik Tik’ gets postponed just two days before the release for unknown reasons. Jayam Ravi took to his social networking pages and made the announcement about the release, and said that a new release date will be announced soon. Ravi also thanked everyone who supported his film unconditionally. Said to be India’s first space film, ‘Tik Tik Tik’ is directed by Shakti Soundar Rajan and also stars Nivetha Pethuraj in other lead role. “#Tiktiktik will not be releasing this Republic Day but we will be announcing a new release date very soon! I thank my fans and well wishers for standing by me as always & request you to continue supporting the film,” wrote Jayam Ravi on his Twitter page. ‘Tik Tik Tik’ had created a huge buzz in South Indian cinema with its teasers and trailer, and audiences were eager to watch the film on the big screen. However, with the change in release date, the wait continues to watch the first space film in India.

Shakti Soundar Rajan, the director, recently had said that the film will have no run-of-the-mill romantic scenes and would have interesting episodes. “We have explored the space genre in a commercial set-up. It’s very challenging to engage audience when the story shifts to space as there are not too many elements to play with. Our film has no romance and even the songs have been shot as montages but we have elements we think will appeal to everybody,” director Shakti Soundar Rajan told a news agency. ‘Tik Tik Tik’ will be the second-time collaboration of Shakti Soundar Rajan and Jayam Ravi after Miruthan which was released in 2016.

The music of ‘Tik Tik Tik’ is composed by D.Imman and the cinematography is handled by S.Venkatesh. ‘Tik Tik Tik’ will also feature Jayam Ravi’s son, Aarav and will mark his debut as a child artist.
