Kaala Box Office: Rajinikanth starrer is unstoppable

Rajinikanth starrer Kaala, which released on June 9, is ruling the Box Office like a boss. The film is not only receiving appreciation but is also earning huge. Kaala is unstoppable and recently crossed Rs 100 crore mark worldwide at the Box Office. The film is not only earning good in India but is also minting good numbers internationally. The movie has entered its second weekend and is expected to do good business.

Kaala raked in Rs 112 crore approx at the worldwide box office in its first weekend (4 days). The film witnessed a reasonable drop in some areas over the weekdays. Despite the drop, the gangster drama has approximately collected Rs 136 crore at the worldwide box office.

On the other hand, Kaala is performing phenomenally in the US also. Recently, the film registered a record USD 1 million (Rs 6.7 crore approx). The film is expected to gross USD 2 million (Rs 13.5 crore approx) in the coming days.

Rajinikanth has earned loyal fans even in Malaysia and Singapore. Interestingly, Kaala has done some amazing business even there. The gangster drama has set a mark with the opening weekend collection in Malaysia.

According to trade reports, Kaala has collected Rs 7.61 crore so far but could not beat the collection of Jurassic World: the Fallen Kingdom, which released during the same time as Rajinikanth starrer.

Directed by Pa Ranjith, Kaala also stars Eswari Rao, Samuthirakani, Huma Qureshi, Sampath Raj, Sayaji Shinde, Anjali Patil, Manikandan, Dileepan, Pankaj Tripathi, Ravi Kale, Ramesh Thilak, Arul Doss, Aravind Akash, Sakshi Agarwal, Arundhati, Suganya and Nithish. Marathi and Bollywood actor Anjali Patil too would be seen playing a pivotal role in Kaala.

Kaala is a documented story of a don living in the slums of Dharavi. Rajinikanth plays a slum lord turned gangster in the film and is reportedly based on the life of Haji Mastan. The film will also have political overtones.

Besides Tamil, Kaala has released in Telugu and Hindi as well and all the three versions have been receiving a good response.
