Kajal Aggarwal about Mersal co-star Vijay: He has always been a good actor but over the years he has upped his risk-taking ability

During a recent chat with The Hindu, Kajal Aggarwal—who is a popular name in Southern cinema —opened up working with Vijay in ‘Mersal’ and said that he is a committed person.  She went on to add that ‘Thalapathy’ is passionate about his craft and does hesitate to take professional risks.

“It’s amazing for him! He is a talented, committed and hardworking professional. His performances have ingenuity. He has always been a good actor but over the years he has upped his risk-taking ability and passion for his craft. It was a wonderful experience with Mersal, just like my previous two films with him,” she added.

Well, these are some nice words and are bound to create a buzz amongst Vijay’s fans. In case you did not know, ‘Mersal’ is touted to be an action-drama and has been directed by Atlee. In it, ‘Thalapathy’ will be seen in three different avatars. The film has already created quite a buzz amongst fans and will hit screens tomorrow. Besides Vijay-Kajal, the film also has Nithya Menen and Samantha Ruth Prabhu in the lead.

Interestingly, ‘Mersal’ ran into some trouble recently when the CBFC refused to grant it a certificate as the makers had not received an NOC from the AWBI. However, yesterday, the AWBI issued the NOC and cleared the way for its release.

On a related note, this will be Vijay’s second release of the year. He was last seen in ‘Bairavaa’ which received an average response at the BO. It will be worth watching whether the star is able to strike gold this time around.
