Kajal Aggarwal about the Tamil remake of Queen: I’m not looking forward to filling in anyone’s shoes

The Tamil remake of Kangana Ranaut’s much-loved ‘Queen’—which is titled Paris Paris’– was officially launched at a grand function in Chennai yesterday. And, at the event, its star Kajal Aggarwal said that this is a film that is quite close to her heart and she is happy to be a part of it.

“It’s a project very close to my heart. When I saw Queen, I told myself I’d love to adapt the film in some other language. We’d like to prove a point with this project,” she added.

On being asked about comparisons with Kangana, the lovely lady said that she considers ‘Paris Paris’ to be a fresh film and is not bothered about stepping into someone’s shoes.

“I’m not looking forward to filling in anyone’s shoes in this role. We are recreating the film in another language. I treat this as an original, in my own way,” added Kajal.

Interestingly, the Tamil remake of ‘Queen’ is being directed by actor-director Ramesh Aravind who will also be wielding the mic for the Kannada version. Talking about the decision to cast Kajal, he said that she is a combination of beauty, talent and enthusiasm.

“We are delighted to collaborate with Kajal whom I consider the perfect combination of beauty, talent and enthusiasm,” he added.

Well, we wish Kajal the very best and hope that she delivers a solid performance in ‘Paris Paris’.
