Kamal Haasan

Actor/filmmaker Kamal Haasan has been in the news lately for numerous reasons. With the Bigg Boss issue now turning into something else, Kamal Haasan doesn’t seem to be bogged down with all this.  The actor has been posting messages on his Twitter indicating he might take up a political journey as well. Kamal Haasan has now appealed to the people of Tamil Nadu to come out in open and report to the government if they witness any corruption case.

In one of his tweets, Kamal Haasan said, “Let a few lakh complaints reach ministers. Will you arrest all? Or will you respond? In the entire South there wouldn’t be space for all in jails.” During a recent press meet of Bigg Boss Tamil, Kamal Haasan had spoken openly about corrutption. “There’s corruption everywhere in the state,” said the actor.

Kamal Haasan received support for few politicians as well which includes DMK Working President MK Stalin and former Chief Minister O Panneerselvam. “In a democracy everyone has the right to question the government,” Stalin had said. Former Chief Minister O Panneerselvam had said, “Tamil Nadu ministers shouldn’t speak like threatening Kamal Haasan. The government should respond only to the issues raised.”

Kamal Haasan had recently a poem on his Twitter page which hinted that he may start a political sojourn soon. While speculations are high that he may join politics soon, the actor hasn’t responded to any of these reports of him joining the politics.
