According to a leading daily, veteran actor Kamal Haasan will be beginning work on the recently-announced ‘Indian 2’ only after he wraps up ‘Vishwaroopam 2’ and ‘Sabash Naidu’. Confirming this, Haasan’s spokesperson said that the film will take off only once the veteran star finishes all his pending projects.
“Shankar had a meeting with Kamal a few days ago. The film is likely to take off only after Shankar wraps up 2.0 and Kamal completes his Sabash Naidu and Vishwaroopam 2,” added the spokesperson.
Well, this is some good news and indicates that his fans have plenty to look forward to in the days to come.
In case you did not know, ‘Indian 2’ is a sequel to the 1996 crime-drama ‘Indian’ and will be shot simultaneously in Telugu and Tamil. The film comes at a time when Haasan has been in the limelight because of his impending entry into politics. Like the first part, if this one too deals with the fight against corruption it could go a long way in blurring the lines between reel and real life.
On a related note, ‘Vishwaroopam 2’ is a spy-thriller and is a sequel to the 2013 release ‘Vishwaroopam’. As far as ‘Sabash Naidu’ is concerned, it is spy-comedy and is being directed by Haasan himself. Besides ‘Ulaga Nayagan’, it also features Shruti Haasan and Ramya Krishnan in the lead.
