Kamal Haasan to Jr NTR: South stars react to Sridevi’s untimely demise

Sridevi passed away yesterday because of a cardiac arrest and this has left her colleagues heartbroken.

Noted actor Sridevi passed away yesterday, in Dubai after suffering from a cardiac arrest. And, as expected, this left her fans/colleagues in a state of shock. Reacting to her untimely demise, her friend and Tamil superstar Kamal Haasan said that he would miss her immensely. He also said that he had the privilege of watching her transform herself from a teenager to to an elegant lady.

“Have witnessed Sridevi’s life from an adolescent teenager to the magnificeint lady she became. Her stardom was well deserved. Many happy moments with her flash through my mind including the last time I met her. Sadma’s lullaby haunts me now. We’ll miss her,” added Haasan.

Similarly, Rajinikanth-who had worked with Sridevi in films like Chaalbaaz, offered his condolences to her family.

“I’m shocked and very disturbed. I’ve lost a dear friend and the industry has lost a true legend. My heart goes out to her family and friends. I feel the pain with them #RIPSridev … you will be missed,” added ‘Thalaiva’.

Reacting to the news ‘Young Tiger’ NTR said that Sridevi truly is irreplaceable.

“She came. She saw. She conquered. And went back to the heavens from where she came. RIP Sridevi garu.IRREPLACEABLE,” he added.

For those who do not know, Sridevi played her first adult role in Southern cinema at the age of 13 in 1976. Thereafter, she went on to star in several popular films like Kshana Kshanam, Moondram Pirai and Bobbilli Puli to name a few. Her last full-fledged South film was the 2015 release Puli. During her illustrious career, she worked with stars such as Kamal Haasan, Rajinikanth, and Chiranjeevi to name a few. The 2017 release MOM was the last release of her career.

We are truly shocked by her demise and hope that her family stays strong in this difficult time. RIP, Sridevi.

    Blind item carried by pv abt her lip surgery n permanent smile….caused her lot of pain.. she couldnt take it n had a stroke..she was already upset abt the video surface during basus saraswati pooja…and have been feeling low since then.

        So..do u respect only departed souls? Not when they are alive.. i am concerned on how much stress a person in that position had to go thru. If they dont look good.. they say she is ageing bad Or body shame in some other way. if they try to look good with additional help..they say she is plastic n humiliate them with cheap articles. How can they cope up with all that. They are humans too

      I too felt very bad to read such articles about her. what ever she did is her personal. she always carried herself with grace in public. She was an amazing actress. with out an iota of respect these media houses carry such articles when they are alive..pulling them down.. now they publish 100 articles on how great she was… idiots are those who can see it and who cant respect a person when they r alive.
