According to a leading news agency, veteran actor-filmmaker Kamal Haasan may soon revive his long-delayed and highly ambitious. ‘Thalaivan Irukkiran’. An action-thriller, it was originally supposed to be a Hindi-Tamil bilingual with the 62-year-old playing the antagonist. However, things did not work out and it ended up being put on the backburner.
Confirming that that the project will soon be revived, a source said that ‘Thalaivan Irukkiran’ is very close to Haasan’s heart.
“Kamal sir plans to revive ‘Thalaivan Irukkiran’ after the release of Vishwaroopam 2 and Sabaash Naidu. It has been his long-time desire to work on this project as it’s a script very close to his heart,” added the source.
The source went on to add that it is not known whether Haasan still wants to do the film in Hindi. Moreover, the source added that the names of the producers too have not been finalised yet.
“It’s not sure now who is going to produce the film. We are not even sure if it will still be made in Hindi as well. He wants to revive the project but there is no additional information on the film at the moment,” said the source.
Well, this is a wait and watch situation and we hope that things work out this time.
On a related note, this is a busy time for Haasan. He is currently busy hosting the Tamil version of ‘Bigg Boss’. Besides this, he has also been in the news thanks to his hard-hitting comments on the current political situation in Tamil Nadu.
