On the occasion of his birthday, yesterday, veteran actor Kamal Haasan interacted with his fans and opened up about his political ambitions. While addressing those in attendance, he said that he will interact with the common man and tour the whole state before launching his party or even finalising its name. He went on to add that he will wrap up his film commitments before beginning his political journey.

“It is not an immediate concern to announce the party’s name or when we will contest elections. You will have to give me time to come out with my political agenda as I am still working on the structural part of the whole thing. First, we have to get ready, and become qualified. So, we are looking at the longer goal and that’s why we are taking time. I take six months to even prepare for a film. I’m trying to take time and learn what is needed. That is why I will tour the state. I want to talk to people before deciding my party’s name. It is not a marketable product, but people’s will. I want them to be partners in this initiative. I will have to finish my films first. They are business commitments. I will finish all of them,” he added.

Well, this is quite a big statement and is bound to create a buzz in the political circles. We wish Haasan good luck and hope that he finds success in whatever he does. On the work front, he currently has ‘Vishwaroopam 2’, ‘Sabash Naidu’ and ‘Indian 2’ in his kitty. The trailer of ‘Vishwaroopam 2’ is likely to be released soon.
