Yesteryear Bollywood actor Shashi Kapoor passed away yesterday in Mumbai due to prolonged illness. Shashi Kapoor was one of the pioneers of Indian cinema who took the art form in the nation to global level. Many film personalities from Bollywood and various other industries posted emotional messages on social media to bid adieu to the legendary actor including actors like Priyanka Chopra, Alia Bhatt and Ranveer Singh among many others. South Indian top star Kamal Haasan too posted an emotional message who has had a very endearing relationship with Bollywood since his debut in films. Kamal Haasan posted a teary-eyed tweet about Shashi Kapoor and thanked him for taking the art form to the next level with his charm and efforts.
Kamal Haasan’s tweet read – “Thank you Sashi Kapoor sahab. For what you did for Indian Theatre and Cinema. Thank you the Kapoor family for carrying the service forward. Tearful Salute to a man who loved the arts. Condolences to many fans like me. His family included.” Kamal Haasan has acted in more than 15 films in Bollywood and has maintained cordial relationships with many icons of Bollywood including Shashi Kapoor.

Shashi Kapoor is survived three children Kunal Kapoor, Karan Kapoor and Sanjana Kapoor. Shashi Kapoor was married to Jeniffer Kendal who passed away in the year 1984. Shashi Kapoor is the youngest son of Prithviraj Kapoor who was one of the pioneers making Bollywood the biggest film industry.
