Veteran actor Kamal Haasan’s long-delayed Vishwaroopam 2 is arguably one of the most eagerly-awaited films of the year. And, recently, it was reported/rumoured that the ‘Ulaga Nayagan’ had started dubbing for the film. However, it seems that the rumours were baseless. A source told a leading website that dubbing work on Vishwaroopam 2 had started quite a while ago and the dates mentioned in the reports are incorrect. The source went on to add that it was just some correction work and minor fine-tuning was done recently. Well, this is quite a clear clarification and we hope that it puts all doubts to rest.
In case you were not aware, Vishwaroopam 2 is touted to be a spy-thriller and has been directed by Haasan himself. A sequel to the 2013 release Vishwaroopam, it also features Andrea Jeremiah in the lead. Sometime ago, Haasan had said that all characters from the first part will feature in the sequel
“My producer was multitasking with many films but I have now taken over the responsibility of taking my product to the audience. All the actors are returning, even those who died in the first part. The surprise new addition is Waheeda Rehman ji,” Haasan had told a leading daily.
On a related note, this a busy time for Haasan. Besides Vishwaroopam 2, he also has Indian 2 and Sabash Naidu in his kitty. Indian 2 is a sequel to the 1996 hit Indian and will be directed by S Shankar. According to the latest reports, ‘Lady Superstar’ Nayanthara will be playing the female lead opposite Haasan here. However, this has not been confirmed yet. As far as Sabash Naidu is concerned, it is a spy-comedy and also features Shruti Haasan-Ramya Krishnan in the lead. In it, he will be reprising one of his characters from Dasavatharam.
