Kamal Haasan talks about a possible political alliance with Rajinikanth

Veteran actors Kamal Haasan and Rajinikanth have been in the news these days because of their impending entry into the world of politics. On December 31, ‘Thalaiva’ confirmed that he would soon be launching his own party and contesting the next Tamil Nadu assembly elections. Similarly, the ‘Ulaga Nayagan’ too is all set to begin his political tour and lay the groundwork for his political debut.

Not surprisingly, many fans have been keen to know whether the two friends/professional rivals will be joining hands in the near future. Recently, Haasan spoke about collaborating with Rajini’s political party and said that it is a wait and watch situation. He also made it clear that everything will depend on their respective ideologies and political goals.

“First, we both have to start our own parties.. Then announce principles/policies.. If there is a match or synergy in that, then we can think of working together. Only time will tell,” he added.

Well, this is a developing situation and it will be worth watching what happens next. On the professional front, Rajini currently has 2.0 and Kaala in his kitty. 2.0 is touted to be a sci-fi thriller and has been directed by S Shankar. In it, the veteran actor will be seen alongside Akshay Kumar and the lovely Amy Jackson. On the other hand, Kaala is a crime-drama and will see Rajini essay the role of a gangster. A Pa Ranjith directorial, it also has Huma Qureshi and Nana Patekar in key roles.

As far as Haasan is concerned, he has Vishwaroopam 2 and Indian 2 in his kitty. Vishwaroopam 2 is a sequel to the 2013 release Vishwaroopam and has been directed by Haasan himself. On the other hand, Indian 2 is a sequel to the classic Indian and will be directed by S Shankar
