The controversial reality show Bigg Boss Tamil 2 with star host Kamal Haasan kick-started recently. Well, controversies and Bigg Boss go hand in hand. The reality show is no new to controversy and the show is in the news yet again for the wrong reasons. According to reports, the Film Employees Federation of South India (FEFSI) has demanded that the shooting of the show be stopped. The reason behind it is there are very few of its crew members from their association. Reportedly, there are around 75% of the production crew are from Mumbai.
Times of India quoted Angamuthu Shanmugam, FEFSI general secretary, saying, “It came to our notice that around 75% of the production crew are from Mumbai, which is against the terms and conditions of FEFSI. Last year, too, a similar scenario occurred, but after discussing with Kamal Haasan, we ensured that 50% of the crew goes there from our association.”
There were also rumours about the shooting of the show stopped by FEFSI. Reacting on the same, Angamuthu Shanmugam said, “As the production team already started the shoot on Friday, we didn’t stop them from their work. However, we won’t let them shoot from Saturday onwards, if they continue working without including enough members from our team.”
Reportedly, the makers of the show are sorting out the issues. Both the parties are in talks over the controversy. It remains to see if makers of the reality show fulfill the demand raised by FEFSI members.
This time around, Bigg Boss Tamil season two has 16 participants with one surprise addition. Actor Oviya will be appearing as a guest this time, for a few days. The last season of the show was a huge hit and this season is expected to be even bigger!
