Kamal Haasan’s Indian 2 to have reference of the latest Nirav Modi scam?

After much speculation and various meetings, Kamal Haasan has finally announced the name of his party – Makkal Needhi Maiam. Kamal announced the name of his political party in Madurai yesterday and hoisted the party flag amidst the huge crowd that had gathered to witness his new beginnings. And with this announcement, Kamal moves one step away from films and as he had said earlier, will stop acting in films after wrapping up three pending films – Viswaroopam 2, Sabaash Naidu and Indian 2. Reports are now doing rounds that Indian 2, sequel to his 1996 release Indian, will have reference to a lot of his political ideologies to elevate his political journey in a better fashion. It is also being said that the film will have reference to the latest Nirav Modi scam which involved a mind-boggling amount of Rs. 11,000 crores.

Indian was about eradicating corruption. Almost 22 years later, the subject has become even more topical. The Nirav Modi scam will definitely feature in Indian 2. There will be an attempt to incorporate Kamal Haasan’s political ideology in all of his future films. He is definitely not giving up films. It would be like cutting off the branch on which he sits,” a source close to the actor was quoted as saying by a report in DC.

Since two of his films have already been shot majorly, he might not be able to include any of his ideologies into it. But since Indian 2 is yet to go on floors, it might have reference to many of this. It will be very interesting to see the style in which Kamal Haasan would portray the scam in the story. Since the 1996 release, Indian, dealt with corruption, Indian 2 will also have similar theme but a story set in today’s era, reports suggest.
