Kamal Haasan’s much-awaited Vishwaroopam 2 to release before Rajinikanth’s Kaala?

As we all know the 48 days Tamil Cinema Strike has finally been called off. While the moviegoers are waiting to catch some of the big films on screen, the makers have geared up to lock the release dates for their respective films. There have been lots of talks about Vishwaroopam 2 and Kaala’s release as well. Reportedly, Kamal Haasan’s long-awaited sequel Vishwaroopam 2 will hit theatres before Rajinikanth‘s Kaala!

The much-awaited trailer of Vishwaroopam 2 is likely to be out as the strike has been finally called off. Reportedly, the sequel is all set to hit the screens this summer. The film has got all clearance by CBFC with U’A certificate. The makers are only waiting to lock the release date.

On the other hand, Rajinikanth-starrer Kaala, which is directed by Pa Ranjith, is likely to be released in June.

Recently, film analyst Ramesh Bala revealed that the release timeline of two big much-anticipated films is: Kaala – June and Vishwaroopam – May.

On a related note, post the strike, the first film to release is Prabhu Deva starrer Mercury. Actor Vishal took to Twitter and confirmed that Karthik Subbaraj’s Mercury will be the first release post the strike. He wrote, “Here we go. Our first Tamil film release after the revamp is gonna be #MercuryMovie in a grand scale.looking fwd to this lovely venture from @karthiksubbaraj.all da best. #Tfpc will assure a huge and grand release wit all support. Talking about the film, Mercury is a silent thriller about five longtime friends who come together for a high school reunion and what turns up next with them is sure to keep you on the edge of the seats. The film also stars Ramya Nambeesan, Sanath Reddy and Idhuja Ravichandran in main roles.
