There were reports doing rounds that actor Karthi will soon be doing a bilingual in Telugu and Tamil which will be directed by Venu Udugula of Needi Naadi Oke Katha fame. Reports also suggested that the director had narrated a script to Karthi and the actor had agreed to be a part of the film, in principal. However, Karthi has now rubbished all these rumours and said that he has not been approached by anyone about a film and he is not doing any bilingual. Karthi also said that if he signs any films, he will notify his fans himself and will not be through media reports. Karthi is currently waiting to start shooting for his upcoming Kadaikutty Singam which is halted because of the ongoing strike by producers in Tamil films. D.Imman will be rendering the music of the film who has a slew of films up his sleeve. The camera of Kadaikutty Singam will be cranked by R.Velraj while the art department is handled by popular technician Veerasamar who is also an actor in Tamil film industry. The first look poster of Kadaikutty Singam seems to have impressed the fans of Karthi and Tamil audiences in general owing to the actor’s look in the film. The first look poster had confirmed that the film will be released in April 2018 however, had to be delayed because of the ongoing strike in the Tamil film industry by the producers.
