Reports were doing rounds that Hebah Patel would reprise the role of Tamannaah in the Tamil remake of 100% Love. Speculations were also high that Tamannaah was also approached for the same role since she had done a fabulous job in the role of a student in the Telugu version of 100% Love. Now, according to recent reports the female lead in Tamil remake of 100% Love has been finalised.

According to emerging reports, Lavanya Tripathi has been finalised as the female lead in the Tamil remake of 100% Love and will reprise Tamannaah’s role. The Tamil remake will be directed by MM Chandramouli and will feature composer turned actor GV Prakash Kumar reprising Naga Chaitanya‘s role.

Speaking to a leading daily, Chandramouli said, “We wanted someone who looks like Tamannaah did in 2011, when the original came out. We found Lavanya to be ideal — she has that vivacious personality and also complements the hero.”

Speaking more about how they wanted Lavanya Tripathi to prepare for the role, MM Chandramouli said,” The two leads are students and she starts to have a crush on him. Since he is an intelligent guy, to win him over, she competes against him in class and manages to become the topper. This sparks off a contest between them and that leads to drama.”

According to sources, major portions of the film will be shot in London with seasoned actors like Nasser, Livingston, Ambika and comedians Yogi Babu and Sathish also being part of the cast.
