The iconic S Janaki brought her legendary singing career to a close on Saturday when she performed in Mysuru one last time and left her fans teary-eyed. As part of the emotional concert, she took fans on a trip down memory lane and proved once again why she is a bonafide legend. While interacting with the audience, she said that she has been a singer for nearly 60 years and is happy about whatever she has accomplished.

“I made my foray in singing n 1957, I am content having sung so many songs. And this is going to be my last programme,” she added.

S Janaki also urged the audience to enjoy her performance one last time but refrain from recording the proceedings.

“I urge everyone to enjoy my performance with a large heart,” said S Janaki.

Interestingly, S Janaki had started her career in 1957 in Mysuru itself by performing alongside PB Srinivas.
